Head of Legal
ABN Cleanroom Technology is a European pioneer in Configure-to-Order cleanroom solutions for the high-tech, pharma, biotech, and battery industries.
To strengthen our international growth, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and strategic Head of Legal who draws energy from contract law, international collaboration, and legal clarity in a fast-evolving technical environment. You will become a crucial link within an organization where innovation, speed, and multidisciplinarity are central.
About the Job
As Head of Legal, you will take on a central role in guiding our commercial activities, international growth, and risk management. You will navigate daily between contract negotiations, corporate governance, cross-border structures, and legal analyses within a highly complex technical context. You will translate commercial needs and technological challenges into solid, scalable, and strategically sound legal solutions that accelerate our growth.
- You will draft, analyze, and negotiate national and international contracts (turnkey, engineering, framework agreements, NDAs, SLAs, lease and StepIn contracts, collaboration agreements).
- You will translate commercial needs into legally sound solutions that create value for both ABN CRT and our clients.
- You will align the interests of various stakeholders in a constructive and solution-oriented manner.
- You will provide legal support for our national and international expansion.
- You will advise on corporate governance within a fast-growing engineering environment.
- You will help build the legal foundations of our European growth in the Benelux, Germany, UK, Ireland, Switzerland, and Scandinavia.
- You will provide insight into export, import, IP law, data law, international liability, and cross-border collaboration.
- You will perform risk analyses of projects, stakeholders, and contract models.
- You will translate technological risks (GMP, high-tech, battery production, cleanrooms) into commercial and legal frameworks.
- You will develop scalable governance and compliance processes that scale with our growth.
- You will implement new legal methodologies, digital tools, and model-based structures.
- You will actively help build templates, playbooks, and decision trees within our legal ecosystem.
Skills & Qualifications
- Master of Laws (preferably business law, corporate law, international law, or similar).
- 3–7 years of experience as an in-house counsel or in a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, business law, and international contracting.
- Growth mindset and eagerness to grow along with our expansion.
- Ability to understand technical systems and translate them legally.
- Curious and critical mindset.
- Commercial and solution-oriented thinking; creating win-win situations.
- Strong language skills (Dutch/English required; German/French is a plus).
- High risk awareness and the ability to assess scenarios and impact.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to actively contribute to our European growth.
